Slideshow from our Sidewalk Sale

On Saturday, June 18th, local retailers held our community's first sidewalk sale. Ms. Moore of Shoomi and Ms. White of Kiwi's Boutique served as the chamber's co-chairs for this event, as part of the chamber's retail committee.

Our Sidewalk Sale served as a kickstart to a couple of events we have been planning for this summer, including an eveing event at Sinha's Restaurant in July, a cleaning and safety event in August and a mobile dinner party in September. This summer we're going to experiment a bit and see what works to best to provide the most collective benefits to all participants. All participants of the sidewalk sale thought we were off to a great start.

The site located for the sidewalk sale was special because it is adjacent to the streetscpe renovation currently underway which the chamber has a role in. Because the chamber agreed to maintain portions of the streetscape renovation happening on Wetern, additional enhanments will be added such as several flower beds. A sample of our street banner was on display as well. Street banners are set to go up on Friday. In addition, our sidewalk sale took place in the physical footprint of the proposed Pete's Fresh Market grocery store which we are all looking forward to.
